The Approach

We started with a two-week discovery phase, spending time with drivers and office staff to understand their daily workflows. This revealed pain points that the client hadn't initially identified—like duplicate data entry between inspection forms and compliance spreadsheets.

The application was built iteratively, with fortnightly demos allowing the team to provide feedback on each feature before moving to the next. This agile approach ensured the final product genuinely matched their needs.

The Solution

We built a custom Laravel application with a mobile-first approach. Drivers complete digital vehicle inspections on tablets, with data syncing in real-time to a central dashboard. The system automatically flags overdue inspections, upcoming certification renewals, and any defects requiring attention.

Key features include digital walk-around checks with photo uploads, automated compliance alerts, driver assignment and scheduling, a management dashboard with fleet-wide reporting, and integration with their existing accounting software.
